With the plugin for the Ldap
Account Manager (LAM) users and groups can be administered comfortably
centrally in the OpenLDAP directory of the data server. So you have
not duplicate work because changes on users and groups in OpenLDAP
need not be changed on the Scalix server.
Features:
- All
users and groups which are provided in LAM are automatically synchronized
to the Scalix server.
- Passwords
of the Scalix users are administrated in OpenLDAP (if the password
is changed in OpenLDAP, it is also changed on the Scalix server).
- The
groups are also managed in the LAM.
- Synchronization
to the Scalix of the whole OpenLDAP attributes (first name, surname,
address, ..)
- Managment
of the Scalix users configuration in LAM (Scalix administrator,
mailnode, premium/ standard user, ...)
In the webinterface of the lam
you can configure this module (click on the pictures to zoom it):
The user managment is the
same, there is only a new tab named "Scalix".

You can also insert groups
into groups.
